The whole purifier is made of porcelain, unlike cheaper purifiers on the market that have plastic inserts where the filter sits, this purifier insert is made of porcelain.

Total Capacity: 11L (Roughly 9 litres in tank and 2 litres in upper insert)

Filter candle/ceramic cartridge selection:

Model 288 - Town Water generally last <1000 litres or 6 months depending on water quality (default)

Doulton 5" upgrade - Filtering tank water last < 2000 litres or 12 months depending on water quality in tank

Ultraceram 5" upgrade - Finer filtering and removes fluoride generally last 1500-2000 litres or 12-14 months depending on water quality

Ceramic filters candle generally filter at 1 litre per hour. Fill up at night and then in the morning to create a reservoir of water in the tank.

This is a new porcelain product but may contain minor dimpling in the glaze or non uniformities in the glaze and this is perfectly normal and doesn't effect the operation or quality of the unit.
